Now, onto Sunbird Spark Challenge #43! It’s November 1st, and in my books, once we pass Halloween, it’s holiday season, hence our holiday-themed colour palette! Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

I started by stamping and gold heat-embossing a sentiment from Magical Christmas Sentiments onto Christmas Tree Heavyweight Cardstock. Next, I used a few shades of green dye ink to stamp the tree images from Minimalist Christmas Trees onto my background to create a tone-on-tone look.

To highlight my sentiment I like to create a bit of a “halo” by blending around the edges with 2 shades of dye ink slightly darker than my background cardstock. Lastly, I added a few gold sequins and embellishments to finish off the card!

We LOVED seeing your die-cutting inspired projects over the past month, thank you so much to all of those who participated in Challenge #41!

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #42! This month we have a fun fall-inspired moodboard as our inspiration. Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

I started by masking off a framed area on my A2 card-base. Next, I used the Sakura Fubuki Stencils 360°™ and blended through the different blooms using several warm shades of dye ink inspired by this month’s challenge. I didn’t use the Stencils 360 to space out the blooms, I just blended through each stencil to create a visually appealing pattern — this is a great way to stretch your stencils! Next, I used gold pigment ink to create a frame around my masked area.

The sentiment is from Magical Christmas Sentiments, which I stamped and white heat-embossed onto black cardstock, and cut out with the coordinating dies. To finish off the card I adhered the sentiment strip to the center and added some red embellishments for extra shine!

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #41! This month our challenge theme is die cutting! Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

While this month’s theme is die-cutting, I still wasn’t quite over last month’s rainbow theme, so I combined them together for today’s card! I started by lightly blending a rainbow ink background. Then, I used the Majestic Bokeh Stencils 360°™ and blended my bokeh circles in inks that were one shade darker to give a tone-on-tone look. I also made sure to blend each circle using 2 colors which gave it a bit of a bubble effect!

Next, I die cut the Hexagon Geo Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to my background. I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered my sentiment to the card using foam tape to add dimension, and finished the card off with some sparkly embellishments!

We LOVED seeing your ocean palette-inspired projects over the past month and want to thank you so much for participating in Challenge #39.

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #40! This month we have a fun rainbow color palette as our inspiration! Don’t forget to link your projects for your chance to win a gift card!

I love rainbow cards and usually start by creating my background. I rotated the Kaleidoscope Stencils 360°™ stencil in 60 degree increments using the Stencils 360°™, blending in rainbow order. Once I was done blending with the stencil, I came back in with the same blending brushes and used a lighter hand to soften the background to create a tone-on-tone look. Next, I diecut my stenciled background using a circle die, and used a circle die one size larger to create my card base.

I adhered by rainbow stenciled background to my card base and moved on stamping. I stamped and Copic-colored an image from Life Is A Carnival, and diecut it with the coordinating dies. Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes stamp set onto dark grey cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered my image, sentiment, and a few embellishments to my card base to finish off my card!

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #39! This month we have a bright and cheery color palette for our inspiration! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

For today’s card, I combined a few different stamp and die sets to create an encouragement card. I started by stamping and Copic-coloring three of the hot air balloon images from Life Is A Carnival, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Next, I created the mountains from grey cardstock using the two dies from the Mountain Landscape Scene Builder Dies & Stencil Set. I also added some shading using a darker grey dye ink and the coordinating stencil.

I used a cloud stencil to create a sky scene on a top-folding A2 card base. Then, I adhered my mountains and hot air balloon diecuts down to my card base ensuring to leave enough room to stamp my sentiment, which is from the Rock Climbing stamp set. Finally, I added some clear embellishments to finish off the card!
