We LOVED seeing your bubblegum-inspired projects over the past month and want to thank you so much for participating in Challenge #37.

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #38! This month we have fun squares and circles sketch for you that can be interpreted in many different ways! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I started by blending a background using Barrel A of the Glowing Beams Stencils 360°™. I turned the stencil at 60° intervals, blending in rainbow order. Next, I used Barrel B to fill in some of the spaces and add dimension — I didn’t turn at any particular increment, I just eyeballed what looked good. Once my background was complete, I cut it down into a square. I blended the edges of a slightly larger square card base in rainbow order to coordinate with my background panel and then adhered my background onto the card base.

I stamped and Copic-colored the bunny image from My Superhero, die-cut it with the coordinating dies, and adhered it to the center of my card. Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed the “You are super” sentiment from Everyday Sentiments onto some dark grey cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the sentiment below my focal image and finished the card off with some colorful sequins!

Before we move on to Challenge #37, we have a little announcement! We’ve updated our challenge rules to be more inclusive. Your project should be inspired by the challenge theme but can feature products from ANY stamp company. One winner will still be chosen by our challenge team every second challenge, for a winning project that features at least one Penguin Palace product, the winner will receive a $25CAD Gift Certificate; otherwise, the winner will receive a $20CAD Gift Certificate. Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #37! This month we have a fun pastel / bubblegum / cotton candy colored moodboard for our inspiration! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I started by using my Stencils 360°™ to ink blend the Kaleidoscope Stencils 360°™ in bright pink dye ink. Then, I lightly blended over the entire area with the same color to create a tone-on-tone look. I cut my stenciled piece in half and adhered one half to the top right of my card base and the other to the bottom left.

Next, I stamped and Copic-colored two images from Life Is a Carnival and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. Then I adhered them to the card in the center of each of my stenciled areas. To create the sentiment I mixed together stamps from: Let’s Meet IRL (“Have a”), Life Is A Carnival (“sweet”), and Enchanting Paris (“birthday”). Finally, I finished the card off with some bubblegum colored sequins!

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #36! We have a fun sketch that can be interpreted so many ways for this month. Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I decided to branch out from my usual style for this card and made something monochrome! I stuck with an entirely black and white design — this would also be a fun technique if you think the recipient may be interested in coloring the card!

I used the base of my Stencils 360°™ to act as a guide for stamping in a circular pattern. Then, using a bunch of the smaller stamps from Inseparable, I created a repeating pattern by stamping the images around a central circle (I used a diecut circle as a place holder) leaving space in the center for my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Inside & Out in the center of my circle, and finished the card off with some black sequin embellishments!

We LOVED seeing your sketch-inspired projects over the past month. Thank you so much to all of those who participated in Challenge #33 & 34! Unfortunately, we didn’t have quite enough participants to declare a winner, but we really want to thank you so much for participating in Challenges #33 & 34.

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #35! We haven’t done a color palette challenge in a while… and I, for one, am already looking forward to spring which is the inspiration for this month’s palette! I started by creating an alcohol ink panel using colors inspired by this month’s palette. When it was dry I adhered it onto a top folding notecard. Next, I die cut Layer 3 and 4 of the Butterfly Emergence 2 in 1 Layered Dies from white cardstock. I adhered the layers together and then onto my notecard.

I stamped and white heat-embossed the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Enchanting Paris onto purple cardstock, cut it into a strip, and adhered it to the center of my card with foam tape. Finally, I finished off the card with some pearl embellishments!

We LOVED seeing your circle-themed projects over the past month and want to thank you so much for participating in Challenge #33.

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #34! This month we have another fun sketch for you! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I’ve been trying to replenish my stock of birthday cards and this sketch was the perfect opportunity. I started by stamping the peacock tailfeather layers from Beautiful Inside & Out onto each end of an A2-sized card panel by turning my panel 180° in my stamp positioner. I cut my panel down to 4″ x 5.5″ and adhered it to a top-folding notecard made from heavyweight premium cardstock. I also added some thin strips of glitter paper to each side of my panel.

Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a birthday sentiment from the Birthday Wishes stamp set onto the same Fashion Week cardstock, and cut it out with the coordinating dies. Finally, I adhered the sentiment to the center of my card and added some embellishments to finish it off.
